Daily Itinerary
Day 1.
Arrive in Southern California and start with a waterside champagne brunch complete with a view of the Queen Mary and Long Beach Harbor. Then we board the high speed ferry "26 miles across the sea." Relax and enjoy the nightly wine and cheese reception. Pavillion Lodge - 3 nights (BR)
Day 2.
A scenic tour of the island gets you acclimated so you're set to explore the shops in town or simply kick your feet up and watch the waves. In the afternoon explore the harbor and a glass-bottom boat tour. Stroll back to your hotel while enjoying the cool ocean breeze. (B)
Day 3.
After breakfast we journey under-the-sea and check out the critters that lie just beneath the water's surface on a unique semi-submersible vessel. Later a walk to the iconic Avalon Casino...but quarters aren't necessary. This one contains a grand ballroom and theater. You'll hear all about the past revelry on a guided tour. After a little wine and cheese enjoy dinner at the Avalon Grille. (B,D)
Day 4.
Following a leisurely morning it's all aboard the ferry to return to the mainland. Arrive in Long Beach and make your way next door to San Pedro. An upscale lunch at a marina-side restaurant is waiting for you. (B,L)
