Day 1

Welcome to The Big Apple! Get ready for a plentiful family-style dinner at Carmine’s, a Theater District institution and a block away from your hotel. The lights of Times Square are mesmerizing and a half block detour on the way home from dinner will put you right in the middle of one of the world's most famous addresses. Day 2

At 10 am, we'll walk you to The Museum of Broadway. The stories, the stars and the shows, it's all right here in the first permanent museum dedicated to the history and experience of Broadway Theater and how it has shaped Midtown Manhattan. After lunch together, we'll head to the St. James Theater for the afternoon matinee of Dolly: A True Original Musical. With her recent passing, these tickets are in even greater demand. (L)

Day 3

Pull back the curtain of Broadway. At a rehearsal studio, actors, musicians, and technicians will share their Broadway journey. Meet Peter Filichia, a theater critic, with deep roots and a long history in the Broadway world. An endless source of information and full of entertaining stories, he's a show unto himself! Gather for an early dinner at Bobby Van's Steakhouse. Carnegie Hall will be abuzz for the New York Pops 44th Birthday Gala, and you have box seats! The orchestra will honor a past Broadway or music industry legend. Always a memorable night! (L,D)

Day 4

Museums, subway rides and a historic tavern highlight the day. Start with the Museum of the City of New York. Located in the northeast corner of Central Park, it is home to over 1.5 million items. From Courier & Ives prints to a unique toy collection, everything Big Apple is here. We'll enjoy lunch together at Tavern on the Green, a longtime favorite of The City's upper crust (today we are part of that group). After lunch you have a choice: 

The Museum of Natural History is one of the world's largest and most famous science and cultural museums. It holds over 34 million artifacts, everything from a 94-foot-long blue whale to the massive Hayden Planetarium.

The Metropolitan Museum of Art is the fourth largest museum in the world and the largest art museum in the Americas. You can explore 5,000 years of art history from around the globe.

Tuesday and Wednesday nights are open and the theaters near your hotel are buzzing. We will have a meeting at our office on Saturday January 17th to discuss the tour and these optional theater evenings. You can secure tickets on your own or we are happy to help you after the January meeting. (L)

Day 5

It's off to The Bronx this morning, one of New York's most famous (or infamous) neighborhoods. We'll meet the locals with lunch and visits to pasta and pastry shops. Eat your way along Arthur Avenue, The Real Little Italy. Meet shop owners producing the foods you enjoyed at lunch. Grab some to take home, our treat! Oh, and the fresh cannoli? Mangia, Mangia! (L)

Day 6

We don't have to be at the airport until 1 pm today, so there is time for one more New York experience…what will it be? We have a bit of a surprise in store for you, call it a Mystery Stop! Depart NYC at 3:30 pm, arriving in Sacramento, via Denver, at 8:45 pm PST. (L)
