Cambria Christmas Markets

Time to get your holiday sweaters out and join us for this all-motor coach trip to the Central Coast for Cambria's Christmas Markets and Holiday Lights, which is considered "one of the best in Central California." Step into your personal Winter Wonderland and immerser yourself in the holiday spirit with more than 3 million twinkling lights. Stroll through the German-inspired Christmas Markets to find hand-crafted gifts, listen to live carolers, and cozy up with a cup of hot apple cider. This year we are returning to a familiar place, The Apple Farm Inn in San Luis Obispo, where its old-fashioned Victorian charm and hospitality will be ours for two nights. Expert guides will bring the storied history of Hearst Castle to life on the Grand Rooms Tour where all the rooms will be decked out in holiday style.

1. Depart from the Sports Leisure Vacations office and travel in comfort onboard our comfortable Lux motor coach. There will be a stop for lunch along the way before arriving at your home for two nights, the Castle Inn. After settling in, head out for dinner at the Cambria Pines Lodge, the location of the Christmas Markets and Lights. After dinner you will have the opportunity to enjoy the lights and market. 2.  Following your breakfast at the Inn, take a short ride to the San Simeon estate of newspaper mogul William Randolph Hearst. Your docent-led tour of Hearst Castle will take you through the Grand Rooms all decked out for the holiday season as Mr. Hearst's guests enjoyed them in the 1920s and 1930s. After your visit to the castle, lunch is served in the charming town of Cambria. Late this afternoon a short drive takes us to Sensorio at Paso Robles, home of the world-renowned Field of Lights. Over 100,000 stemmed spheres illuminate the rolling hills like bioluminescent flowers. Holiday-themed food, live music, and seasonal displays make this visit magical. (B, D)

3. Take your memories of the holiday lights and festivities with you as you leave Cambria this morning. After your included lunch at Harris Ranch we arrive back at the Sports Leisure Vacations office to your awaiting cars to return you home. (B, L)
