Tulip Time in the Skagit Valley

Day 1

Upon arrival in Seattle, we'll visit the historic and tranquil Kubota Gardens. These stunning gardens are a 20-acre hidden gem featuring peaceful streams, koi ponds, and beautifully manicured Japanese maples. Following lunch, we will visit the world-famous Chihuly Garden and Glass. This museum showcases glass works of internationally renowned artist Dale Chihuly’s breathtaking, vibrant blown-glass sculptures woven directly into a lush garden setting. from there, we will drive to our beautiful waterfront home, the Hotel Indigo.You will have some time to freshen up and unpack before we gather for a welcome dinner served at a fantastic local restaurant. Day 2

This day is all about the flowers - make sure your phones and cameras are charged up for those photos you won't want to miss! The Skagit Valley Tulip Festival is in full swing, and you're invited to be their guest. Our first farm visit will take us to Tulip Town where row upon row of magnificent tulips show off their radiant colors. Take the trolley ride through the fields, then head to the gift shop to browse their offerings. The RoozenGaarde is run by a third-generation Dutch family and grows over 95% of the tulips in the Skagit Valley. Walk among the flowers and don't forget to stop at their iconic windmill for a photo op. (L)

Day 3

Saturday is our final day, and it is packed with island charm. In the morning we'll board the Washington State Ferry for a scenic twenty-minute crossing to Whidbey Island. We will land in the artistic seaside town of Langley for a visit to a local chocolate farm for an exclusive talk and some sweet souvenir shopping. We will catch the afternoon ferry back to Mukilteo and after lunch head to Seattle Tacoma International Airport for our return flight back to Sacramento by evening. (L)
