Daily Itinerary

Day 1

Your driver brings you to the Sports Leisure office where you'll board our deluxe motor coach bound for Wonder Valley Ranch, your gateway to fun, nature, and relaxation. Our first stop is the Hilmar Cheese Factory for lunch and a guided tour. Then we continue toward Fresno, turning into the Sierra foothills. Your resort-style accommodations, once a retreat for Hollywood stars in the 1950s, include complimentary Wi-Fi and in-room coffee service. This afternoon, enjoy optional horseback riding, archery, or simply relax by the lake and soak in the peaceful surroundings. The springtime beauty of Wonder Valley awaits. Day 2

With a knowledgeable step-on guide, experience the sights and sounds of Kings Canyon National Park. Enjoy a guided walk through the Grant Grove, home to towering Giant Sequoias, followed by lunch at scenic Hume Lake. There will be plenty of photo stops, plus time to browse the visitor centers and gift shops. We return to the ranch in time for cocktail hour, dinner and a campfire under the stars. (FB, L, D)

Day 3

Today we visit Project Survival’s Cat Haven, an innovative park dedicated to the preservation of wild cats. This walking tour and private “Cat Chat” presentation brings us up close to these magnificent animals while learning about conservation efforts both locally and worldwide. We return to the ranch for lunch, followed by a free afternoon to enjoy the many activities Wonder Valley offers. Our final evening includes a farewell cocktail hour, dinner, festive ranch activities and star gazing. (FB, L, D)

Day 4

Enjoy one last morning activity at the ranch before we begin our journey home. Our first stop is at the Forestiere Underground Gardens, a fascinating network of hand built subterranean rooms, courtyards and passageways created over 40 years by Sicilian immigrant Baldassare Forestiere. An authentic Basque lunch at the historic Santa Fe Basque Restaurant is on tap before returning to the Sports Leisure office in the late afternoon. (FB, L)
