Daily Itinerary
Day 1-3
We are proud to partner with AmaWaterways for this transformative land and water journey into the very soul of Asia. Start your adventure in Siem Reap, Cambodia, the gateway of the ancient Khmer Empire. Spend two days touring the region's temples at Angkor Thom, Ta Prohm, Banteay Srei and most notably Angkor Wat, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, before embarking your Mekong cruise in Kampong Cham. Hotel TBA - 3 nights
Day 4
Dating to the 12th Century, Angkor Wat is considered the largest religious structure in the world, serving those who follow both Hindu and Buddhist paths. It was first seen by Western eyes in 1586 by a Portuguese friar who wrote, "It is of such extraordinary construction that it is not possible to describe it with a pen. it is like no other building in the world." His words hold true to this very day. Angkor Wat is, quite simply, indescribable!
Day 5-11
To cruise along the Mekong through Cambodia and Vietnam is to be transported back in time to another era, where the rhythms of the countryside move at a slower pace and allow a fascinating glimpse into a traditional way of life. Visit rural villages, colorful markets and a monastery where you will receive a special Buddhist blessing by monks. Delve into the peaks and valleys of Cambodia's history in the Royal Palace and National Museums of its beautiful capital, Phnom Penh. Witness skilled artisans who create exquisite handicrafts and delicacies, and be treated to authentic experiences, including rides via oxcart, tut tut and trishaw. As you will witness, the Mekong nourishes a vibrant world along its shores. AMADara - 7 nights
Day 12
Disembark at My Tho and transfer to Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, for your return flight to the United States.
