Pieces of History Mystery

One of the primary reasons people travel is to learn. Learning in the abstract is fine, but learning by being there tends to be a lot more memorable. Well maybe we should say A constitution was written here. 

Many historians recall the Lincoln-Douglas debates. Where were those held again? How interesting. Maybe we should go there. Is it a town named Lincoln? There are a lot of those. Heck, there's even a Lincoln Highway. We'll show you the way it was and the way it is...there's another clue...

People traveled by train to get to our destination, but where are the tracks? Oh, wait, they took the express route. That's how they got here so fast. It's all becoming very clear, don't you think? One of our destinations is known as the birthplace of the...probably should make that a surprise!

They argued so much a brawl broke out. You wouldn't think that lawmakers would conduct themselves like that, but they did.

What do they eat around here? Oh, I see. Well, I can't give that clue or everyone will figure it out. Let's just say their favorite food has lots and lots of varieties and even a World Championship. A lot of people get "sauced." (Did you guess Memphis? Sorry, not right.)
