Daily Itinerary

Day 1

We are off to Buffalo this morning, your gateway to the Waterloo Region, located about two hours to the west. There we'll settle in and get the party started with a welcome dinner. You'll love the hotel's downtown location, perfect for finding your way home after a visit to the beer garden. It IS Oktoberfest, after all! Crowne Plaza Hotel, Kitchener-4 nights (D)

Day 2

The Mennonite faith is strong in this region as you'll learn on a tour of the countryside to view their well-kept homes and farms. Then visit Canada's largest year-round marketplace, St. Jacob's Farmers Market, filled with all kinds of tasty treats along with arts and crafts. Next, spend some time walking downtown Kitchener's Willkommen Platz, the heartbeat of the community's German vibe and the site of many Oktoberfest activities. Prepare yourself for a night of dinner and dancing at the traditional German Clubhouse. Who loves polka? (FB,D)

Day 3

Take a scenic ride through the Beeton Creek Valley aboard South Simcoe Railway's historic excursion train to catch all the colorful vistas before a luncheon featuring the flavors of the season. The evening is at leisure because you've got a big day tomorrow! Looking for fun? It's a perfect time to return to Willkommen Platz! (FB,L)

Day 4

Happy Thanksgiving! No one in town sits out the Kitchener-Waterloo Thanksgiving Day Parade! It's a thoroughly entertaining event, and you'll take in all the sights and sounds from reserved seating. An afternoon visit to the Waterloo Region Museum features a special hands-on experience. As evening approaches, you'll feel stuffed as a turkey at a traditional Canadian Thanksgiving feast! (FB,D)

Day 5

Take a drive along the south shore of Lake Ontario with a stop for tea (lunch) at a beautiful garden centre located on the way. Next, you're off to spectacular Niagara Falls which you'll see up close and personal immediately upon arrival with a cruise into the mist and spray. Your all-suite accommodations offer stunning falls views from every room. You may never want to leave your bed! Embassy Suites Fallsview - 2 nights (FB,L,D)

Day 6

Start the day at FLYOVER, a 4-D simulator where you'll feel like you are flying over, around and through the Falls. The experience is so real that you just might get wet! Next, head out on a guided tour along the Niagara Parkway to the oh-so-British village of Niagara-on-the-Lake. Along the way you'll see the famous Floral Clock and have a tasting of the region's famed Ice Wine. This evening dinner is served with a stunning view at the brink of the falls at Table Rock. (FB,D)

Day 7

Following breakfast, return to the United States for a bit more sightseeing and lunch before your return flight from Buffalo, NY. (FB,L)
