All aboard train enthusiasts! Enjoy two museums and a Railbus ride in Nevada City. Take the completely restored historic Railbus 97 from the Nevada County Narrow Gauge Railroad (NCNGRR) Museum, through the Inn Town Campground, to the Northern Queen Inn and return to the museum, paralleling a portion of the railroad's original route. The museum exhibits a collection of railroad and aviation artifacts, photographs, and documents for visitors and historians alike. Exhibits include the NCNGRR Engine 5, rolling stock, an early steam automobile, and other examples of Nevada County's transportation history. We will also visit the historic Firehouse No. 1 Museum, which is a diamond, located in the heart of historic downtown Nevada City. The museum holds many of Nevada County's hidden treasures and is a must-stop for all who visit the area. This trip includes lunch at a popular local restaurant.
