A cruise along the Napa River is like a voyage into the past. This trip begins at the historic Vallejo and Mare Island waterfronts and continues into a different world, one of vineyards, backwater homes, and some of the largest contiguous marshes in the Bay Area. It was once the third busiest river (vying the Petaluma River) in California, after the Sacramento and the San Joaquin. Come and learn why these salt marshes are among the very most productive plant communities on earth. You will also learn about sloughs, estuaries, riparian, mud flat, marshes and inter-tidal habitats as you take in the bird life and history of the Napa River. A boxed lunch will be served onboard.

Pickup Points

Since pickup times vary from trip to trip, please consult the trip-specific timed itinerary that is sent to you when you book. A detailed description of where each stop is located is also included with those documents. The motorcoach will make stops at all the locations, and upon returning to Sacramento, will drop you off in reverse order.
