Daily Itinerary
Ghosts. Some believe in spirits, and some do not. Some might floating be somewhere in the middle. On this adventure, you’ll have the chance to decide for yourself! Explore not only the old buildings, communities and legends they left behind, but make an attempt to talk to the “previous residents” themselves on an authentic Ghost Hunt!
Day 1
Your flight arrives in Las Vegas in the early afternoon. Check into your hotel, then join us for a great pizza/pasta dinner at Grimaldi's. Later, visit the Neon Museum, where old Vegas signs live on. Then we are joined by our guide who will narrate the history of "The Strip" and point out some of Las Vegas’ most haunted spots. Return to the hotel about 9:30 pm. Golden Nugget – 2 nights (D)
Day 2
The morning brings a colorful look at Vegas history with a visit to The Mob Museum. Take the afternoon off before heading to Goodsprings this evening for an authentic Ghost Hunt. After a couple of minutes of instruction, chances are good you'll be talking to the spirit world. The Pioneer Saloon is the place where Clark Gable waited for word on his wife, Carole Lombard. Alas, Gable burned holes in the bar with his cigar as his love died in the mountains in a plane crash. We'll enjoy a casual meal at the old saloon and explore town after dark, ghost meters in hand. Day 3
Rhyolite, Gold Point and Goldfield are on the itinerary today, as you journey north from Las Vegas to central Nevada. From a house made of glass to a former McDonald's franchise operator turned ghost town owner, you'll see the sights and meet the characters that make these places legendary. Goldfield is just south of Tonopah and has a colorful history. Learn about the world championship title fight, which took an astounding 42 rounds, held there in 1906. Yes, Goldfield was a boom town like none other around the turn of the last century. Today, it's a sleepy, dusty town in the middle of nowhere. Arrive in Tonopah in late afternoon. Tonight, dine in the Jack Dempsey Room and listen to stories about the ghosts who roam the Mizpah Hotel - 2 nights (FB,L,D)
Day 4
Established In 1865 following a silver strike, Belmont is one of Nevada's most spectacular ghost towns. Level streets, a few residents in town to keep things in order, it's a great place to explore. Our guide lives in town and is helping to restore the old courthouse. A fascinating look at a ghost town on a comeback. There’s also a side trip to Manhattan. Back in Tonopah, explore the “famous” Clown Motel. (FB,L,D)
Day 5
The drive back to Las Vegas is on the Extraterrestrial Highway. This area was “off limits” to the public for many years. Heck, the government didn’t even want to admit its existence. Travel through the tiny town of Rachel, and perhaps meet some of the residents. You’ve gone from ghosts to outer space in just 24 hours! Our return flight from Las Vegas departs in the early evening.
