Daily Itinerary
Day 1
Fly to Victoria by way of Seattle. Lunch is in Sidney, a lovely seaside town. Swing by Lolly Gobble, an English Sweets Shop full of old timey and unique candies. You'll get a little treat to take with you! Explore the main street shops before traveling to your hotel in nearby Victoria. Located a short walk from the Inner Harbour, all the best the city has to offer is at your doorstep! Chateau Victoria Hotel & Suites - 4 nights (L)
Day 2
Learn about the history and booming future of British Columbia's Capital City while traveling aboard a classic double-decker bus. At famed Butchart Gardens, in bloom for over 100 years, lunch is served in the original family home. Take your time strolling through the magnificent blooms, but don't skip the amazing gift shop; hands down, it is one of the best in town! (L)
Day 3
Gain a better understanding of Canadian government during a docent-guided tour of the British Columbia Legislative Building. Afternoon tea at The Empress Hotel is a must when in Victoria! In the stately Library Room you'll sip the very same tea blend the Queen of England herself enjoyed, along with assorted finger sandwiches and sweets! In the afternoon a visit to the Royal B.C. Museum is included. Renowned for its First Nations exhibit and collection of totem poles, it's not to be missed. Afterwards, take off right from the Inner Harbour and soar above the city with sweeping views of the Olympic Mountains during a seaplane flight-seeing tour. (HT)
Day 4
Slip out of the city and into the Cowichan Valley, full of quaint towns, artisan crafts, and abundant produce. In charming Chemainus a guide will point out the city's many impressive murals before some free time to explore. The next stop is Duncan, to learn about the Cowichan First Nations people. World-famous for their knitting, see and feel the artistry while learning how patterns are transferred from baskets to sweaters. The vast collection of totem poles in town tell their story. Before returning to the city, stop at a cidery for a tour and tasting of all sorts of products and beverages made from apples. (L)
Day 5
Take the morning to make one final stroll along the waterfront, find that perfect last minute gift, or just relax in your hotel suite. Enjoy an included lunch before catching your late afternoon flight home. (L)
