Daily Itinerary

Day 1

In Seattle ascend the newly renovated Space Needle for sweeping views of Puget Sound and surrounding Olympic Mountains. Back on ground explore internationallyacclaimed
glass artist Dale Chihuly’s Garden and Glass. His work intermingles perfectly with nature. It’s a must see! Glimpse into the mind of a genius during lunch at Collections Café which houses Dale’s personal collection of oddities. Dinner is in Mukilteo perched on a hill overlooking the lovely seaside town. Silver Cloud Inn – Mukilteo – 2 nights (L,D)

Day 2

Everything is coming up… tulips and daffodils! The rich fields of the Skagit Valley host the annual Tulip Festival. Visit two very different farms: a commercial operation growing large plots of colorful blooms which create a patchwork quilt on the valley floor. The second farm is a smaller family-owned operation. Imagine 28 different varieties of tulips all lined up in a row! Stroll through the display gardens before stopping at the gift shop. Perhaps some bulbs for your home garden? After lunch browse the eclectic mix of boutiques with the most unique offerings. Dinner is on your own tonight in Mukilteo. Ivar’s clam chowder, anyone? (FB,L)

Day 3

Board the ferry, bus and all, for a scenic cruise across Puget Sound to Whidbey Island. The idyllic coastal community of Langley is your destination. Visit a local chocolate shop known for truffles using locally sourced berries and a boutique that features all things flowers and chocolate combined! Make the return sailing to the mainland after lunch to catch an early evening flight. (FB,L)
