Daily Itinerary

Day 1

Welcome to The Big Apple! Get ready for a plentiful family-style dinner at Carmine’s, an NYC institution. The lights of Times Square are mesmerizing and right outside your hotel. It’s the premiere address at the center of it all, and you call it home! Marriott Marquis Times Square – 5 nights (D)

Day 2

Do it the New York way, by subway and on foot. Take the subway to the Financial District. On Wall Street, pause at Federal Hall and say hi to Alexander Hamilton at Trinity Church. After lunch ascend One World Observatory with 360° views. Below, reflect at the 9/11 Memorial & Museum. Back at your hotel, kick your feet up for a bit then take your pick from the many restaurants in the area offering worldwide cuisine. (L)

Day 3

You decide how to spend your day! Join your Tour Director and sail to Ellis & Liberty Islands, visit Grand Central Station, do some shopping, take in a world-class museum or go sightseeing. We’ll point you in the right direction. Come together for an early steakhouse dinner and share your adventures. Carnegie Hall will be abuzz for the New York Pops 38th Birthday Gala, and you have box seats! Past and present stars of Broadway relax and let it all hang out! It’s truly a one-of-a kind New York evening. (D)

Day 4

Pull back the curtain of Broadway. At a rehearsal studio, ask actors, musicians and technicians about their training, path to the stage or insider gossip! Meet Peter Filichia, a theater critic, with deep roots and a long history in the Broadway world - an endless source of information and full of entertaining stories. He’s a show unto himself!  Lunch is at an authentic New York Deli; try the pastrami! A Beautiful Noise, The Neil Diamond Musical, is a rousing finale to your New York experience.  (L)

Day 5

In Central Park pay homage to John Lennon. At Strawberry Fields, a mosaic spells out “Imagine,” timely still today. At a real working firehouse and precinct, Bronx FDNY and NYPD share the rigors of the job and their efforts to strengthen community relations and safety. True heroes! Eat your way along Arthur Avenue, the real “Little Italy.” Meet shop owners producing the foods you enjoyed at lunch. Grab some to take home, our treat! Oh, and the fresh cannoli? Mangia, mangia! Tonight, enjoy a Broadway show of your choosing. Your Tour Director will be available to direct/escort you. (L)

Day 6

Start the day with dessert first! At Hershey Chocolate World tap into your inner child and create your own customized S’mores! Why you ask? It’s New York and anything is possible here, so…why not? Lunch is at Broadway hotspot, Sardi’s, with caricatures of celebrity patrons lining the walls. How many do you recognize? Having experienced all the best of the city, catch a nonstop flight home from Newark. (L)
