Daily Itinerary

Sandia MountainsDay 1

Arrive in Albuquerque and enjoy a late lunch before checking into your hotel. Gather for a group orientation and enjoy the hotel’s nightly “Kickback,” a social hour which includes complimentary hot food, soda, wine, and beer. Drury Inn & Suites – 3 nights (L)

Hot Air BalloonsDay 2

The Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta, with over 600 balloons, is the largest ballooning event and the most photographed event on earth. We have upgraded your experience to the Chasers Club Lounge, offering private seating right on the field! After the balloon ascension, enjoy a guided tour of Albuquerque with lunch hosted at the Route 66 Diner. A special presentation is in store at the Turquoise Museum, which houses the world’s largest collection of turquoise from 60 mines around the world. Here you will learn all there is to know about this gem and ornamental stone. (B,L)

Hot Air BalloonsDay 3

This morning is the Mass Ascensions, a launch of all the participating balloons (weather permitting, high winds could possibly cancel any events). Enjoy a special tour at the Abruzzo Balloon Museum. Back at the hotel rest up before tonight’s “Glowdeo,” a static display of the Special Shape balloons. The spectacular afterglow fireworks follows dinner this evening. (B,D)

Day 4

One more Mass Ascension this morning and a hosted lunch before traveling south to your beautiful accommodations in Las Cruces. Hotel Encanto de Las Cruces. (B,L)

White SandsDay 5

White Sands National Monument is one of the world’s great natural wonders. Explore the breathtaking wavelike dunes of snowwhite gypsum that stretch for 275 square miles. Learn how the animals have adapted in this harsh desert climate. Lunch is hosted at a historic lodge set high in a Ponderosa Pine forest (think Lake Tahoe) before arriving in the town of Carlsbad. Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott – 2 nights (B,L)

Carlsbad CavernsDay 6

Carlsbad Caverns is often called the eighth wonder of the world. Descend (by elevator) 830 feet and view the gigantic subterranean chambers and fantastic cave formations. We will come together for a final group dinner tonight. (B,D)

Day 7

Visit Guadalupe National Park before arriving in El Paso Texas to a hosted Mexican lunch at a popular El Paso landmark. Your afternoon flight returns you home in the evening. (B,L)
