Overview

A sequel art show to continue last years popular exhibit Monet: The Early Years. The afternoon is yours to explore galleries of the de Young permanent collections and special exhibit: Gauguin: A Spiritual Journey.

Details

Following last years popular Monet: The Early Years, expect to be equally impressed and mesmerized with the de Young’s latest exhibit which includes twenty works on loan from the Musee Marmottan Monet located in Paris. This final phase of Claude Monet’s long career was spent close to home and inspired by his own garden at Giverny. Monet: The Late Years showcases his evolving study of nature, flower beds, willows, wisteria, footpaths, bridges, ponds, and aquatic flowers. These paintings are some of his most famous and memorable works. The accompanying exhibit audio guide is included for your enjoyment. The afternoon is yours to explore galleries of the de Young permanent collections and special exhibit: Gauguin: A Spiritual Journey. Lunch is on your own at the museum cafe.

We do not share specific pickup information on our website, as we have found over the years that other travel groups tend to use our pickup points without ours or the property owner's permission, which reflects poorly on our company and hurts our ability to offer convenient pickup points to our clients. Accordingly, we ask that you not suggest our pickup points to other groups you travel with, as "the more the merrier" does not often apply to parking lots. Your understanding is appreciated.
