Daily Itinerary

Red Cliffs Lodge, UtahDay 2

John Hendricks founded Discovery Communications, the broadcasting and film production company that owns Discovery Channel, TLC and Animal Planet. His outdoor recreational resort in Colorado, Gateway Canyons, hosts 60 of John’s most prized and impeccably preserved automobiles, including the $3.25 million, one-of-a-kind, 1954 Oldsmobile F-88 concept car. Enjoy a private tour of the collection along with a hosted lunch. Your lodge in Moab sits on the banks of the Colorado River, just outside Arches National Park. Towering red cliffs surround your accommodations; watch them change colors with the setting sun. Red Cliffs Lodge – 3 nights (FB,L)

Arches National Park, UtahDay 3

With over 2,000 naturally occurring arches (the greatest concentration in the world), Arches National Park is a photographer’s dream. Explore the park during a guided tour, pausing at all the highlights. It’s a day you won’t soon forget! After lunch it’s time for a different view of the scenic beauty – from the Colorado River with a narrated jet boat tour along a calm section of the river. (FB,L)

Dead Horse Point State Park, UtahDay 4

The mighty Colorado and Green Rivers divide Canyonlands National Park into three sections. Millions of years of erosion have formed a maze of canyon arches and spires that make it impossible to view by land. Soar through the park on a one hour charter flight today, over the Colorado River, past Island in the Sky and The Maze, a hideout of famous outlaws Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid. Near The Needles, fly over the confluence of the Green and Colorado Rivers, absorbing awesome breathtaking beauty. Later travel by coach to one of the best vistas in the west at Dead Horse Point State Park, where you will be 1,500 feet above the Colorado River. Enjoy lunch and some free time in Moab before heading back to resort. (FB,L)

Day 5

No one ever wants to leave the Red Cliffs but it’s your final day. Travel back to Grand Junction for a hosted lunch before your return flight home. (FB,L)
