You’ll be treated like a King (or Queen) on a full day’s excursion to Coronado starting with a guided island tour. Literally meaning “crown,” the island is best known for the famous Hotel del Coronado built in 1888. Simply called “The Del” by those in the know, you’ll take a guided tour of the historic building and grounds including an alfresco lunch served oceanfront. Be sure to check out the crown chandeliers designed by none other than frequent guest Frank Baum, author of The Wizard of Oz. (FB,L)
Here’s your chance to see San Diego your way. Start the day with a private, non-stop city tour aboard Old Town Trolleys. The choice is yours… just be back home in time for the drive to La Jolla for dinner and the world-premier of Diana!
From the La Jolla Playhouse website: It’s 1981 and the world is ready for a royal wedding – but is the 20-year-old bride ready for what comes after? Following her fairy-tale union, Princess Diana faces a distant husband, an unmovable monarchy and constant media scrutiny. But her unabashed honesty, modern perspective and gentle compassion galvanize a nation, even as they threaten the royal family’s hold on England. (FB,D)
