Daily Itinerary

Day 1

A short flight to Portland arrives as the Vancouver Farmer’s Market opens. Browse vendors selling unique Pacific NW products with time for lunch on your own. After that, it’s all things berry! At a working farm enjoy a sweet treat and learn about the area’s signature crop. Check into your hotel to freshen up before an included dinner. Hilton Garden Inn – Beaverton (D)

Day 2

Head to McMinnville’s Evergreen Museum, home to the Spruce Goose, Howard Hughes’ experimental aircraft. Travel the scenic coastline with stops at the Tillamook Country Smoker and Creamery for jerky and ice cream! Newport is our home for the night where all rooms are oceanfront. Dinner features upscale regional cuisine and a most impressive dessert menu. Elizabeth Oceanfront Suites (FB,D)

Day 3

A narrated cruise in Newport Harbor explains the ecology and fishing industry. Try your hand at it, but watch those fingers! Things can get a little crabby! The main street is full of boutiques and eateries for lunch. Piping hot clam chowder, anyone? Pause in Florence, a beautiful waterside town before a thrilling buggy ride over the sand dunes. Day 4

Spend the day exploring off-the-beaten-track attractions in Bandon with a local guide. Like to shop? Cranberry Sweets has an array of Oregon-made treats such as jams, jellies and candies. All kinds to choose from! Shore Acres State Park has a great story and an incredible view. At Washed Ashore, impressive art displays are created from ocean plastics. Learn what you can do to help protect the fragile ecosystem. At your hotel, dinner is a traditional salmon bake (alternate entrée available). (FB,D)

Day 5

Picturesque ocean scenery is the highlight as we head south, stopping for an included lunch. At the Redwoods National Park Visitors Center, peruse the displays or take a relaxing stroll through the natural beauty. End your day in Eureka. Red Lion Inn (FB,L) ​​​​​​​

Day 6

Highway 101 winds its way through The Avenue of the Giants, creating one of the best “up close” scenic experiences found anywhere. Join a naturalist and walk among the majestic towering redwoods. Reaching into the sky they are truly awe-inspiring! Lunch is in Ukiah before arriving at the Sports Leisure office with your goodies in tow. (B,L)​​​​​​​
