Gems of Southeast Europe Cruise

Featuring a 7-night river cruise aboard the AmaCerto.

  • 2 nights in Budapest
  • 7 night cuise on the 162 passenger AmaCerto
  • Roundtrip airfare to Budapest /from Bucharest

After two successful trips into Croatia, Scott is excited to lead you into yet another less traveled region of Eastern Europe. A combination of land and cruise, Scott has selected an itinerary showcasing the beauty and charm of this enchanting region. Rich in history and culture, Southeast Europe is a melting pot of multiple ethnic groups.

Your itinerary includes a visit to a Serbian Orthodox Temple, vineyards established during the Roman Empire, the Royal Palace in Belgrade, and House of Flowers, the mausoleum of Marshal Tito, a world leader from a different era. Pass through the Iron Gates, a scenic gorge separating Serbia from Romania; visit a medieval Bulgarian Castle overlooking the Danube, and what a would a visit to Hungary be without “goulash”?

AmaWaterways is a classic cruise line with cabins in three different categories; included shore excursions; three meals served daily with included beverages (beer, wine and soft drinks) at lunch and dinner. Ample public spaces provide room for sightseeing, onboard entertainment and relaxing at the heated pool.

Vukovar is a Croatian symbol of resistance, which you’ll better understand on your city tour showcasing the Ovčara Memorial and Eltz Palace. Alternatively, choose a wine tasting in Ilok, a center of wine production since Roman times, where you'll sample its famous Grasevina, Traminac and Frankovka wines.
