Ashland – A Christmas Tradition

Twinkling lights, Cabaret dinner show and shopping ‘til you drop

Daily Itinerary

Day 1

Get into the holiday spirit by taking a no-fly trip to our favorite city in southern Oregon, Ashland. Known to Sports Leisure travelers for their popular Chocolate Festival held in March and summer Shakespeare Festival, we travel in the comfort of our luxury motorcoach north in early December to see Ashland and nearby Medford all dressed up for the holidays. Our accommodations are at The Ashland Hills Hotel and Suites – 2 nights. (L,D)

Day 2

Have your Christmas shopping list at the ready because we’re going to shop at the popular Harry & David Country Store. What are the holidays without Moose Munch? An Ashland city tour follows with a local guide before a visit to Oregon Cabaret Theatre for dinner and their evening production of Christmas Contigo. Cultures collide when the daughter of the family returns home for the holidays with a new beau – he’s NOT Cuban and her aging Abuela is NOT pleased. The show is about Christmas traditions old and new as the family prepares for Noche Buena (Christmas Eve) rediscovering the meaning of love, the value of memories and the importance of embracing life in the moment. (D)

Day 3

The return drive to Sacramento is interspersed with visits to the Turtle Bay Museum and famed Sundial Bridge in Redding, a stop for lunch, then shop from the tasty treats available at Granzella’s featuring olives and so much more. (L)
