Daily Itinerary
Day 1
Fly nonstop to Salt Lake City. Ride the gondola through the fall foliage at Snowbasin Resort, home to the 2002 winter Olympics downhill skiing events. Lunch is hosted in Earl's Lodge framed entirely by spruce logs, pure mountain luxury at the base of the mountain. This afternoon travel on a scenic mountain road to Park City for more spectacular fall colors! Doubletree by Hilton Hotel Park City - 4 nights (L)
Day 2
A special treat today is a visit to Robert Redford's Sundance Resort. We travel down scenic Provo Canyon, stopping at Bridal Veil Falls, a 600 ft multi-tiered waterfall. Enjoy lunch in a private room with beautiful Native American art from Robert's private collection. After lunch ride their open ski lift for amazing panoramic views of the Resort and surrounding mountains. (FB,L)
Day 3
Enjoy a guided tour of the Utah Olympic Park where we'll take our bus to the tip top of the Nordic ski jump. Our guide will share information and stories from the 2002 Winter Olympic Games. You will also visit the top of the bobsled and skeleton track, with time after the tour to visit their museums. In the afternoon visit a nearby town with a special lunch and attraction. (FB,L)
Day 4
Today travel the Mount Nebo Scenic Byway, a mountain road graced with colorful oak, juniper and aspen trees. We will stop at several scenic overlooks for photos and short walks including Devils Kitchen with its red rock cliffs and spires, and spectacular views of Mount Nebo reaching to a height of 12,000 feet. Day 5
Return to Salt Lake City for your flight back to Sacramento. (FB)
