Daily Itinerary

Day 1

Fly to Little Rock. We'll be staying at the new Promenade at Chenal, an upscale open-air festival marketplace that's all the rage in Little Rock right now offering shopping and multiple dining options in addition to our hotel. Aloft Hotel - 3 nights

Day 2

Day trip to Hot Springs (at once a town and a National Park) to see the sights and take the waters if you wish, in the late afternoon we'll join with other tour groups from around the country for dinner and entertainment. (FB, D)

Day 3

Spend the day at a nearby winery with the groups we met yesterday. From this rural location we'll enjoy a completely unobstructed view of the eclipse. Entertainment, lunch and viewing glasses are provided. (FB, L)

Day 4

Tour the Clinton Presidential Library in downtown Little Rock in the morning, then we're off to Ft. Smith for a visit to the new United States Marshall's Museum. Dinner is served at a REAL brothel - Miss Laura's - which now serves as the city's welcome center. Welcome, indeed! Our drive continues in the evening to Bentonville - the home of Walmart. Hilton Garden Inn - 3 nights - (FB, D)

Day 5

Small town, yes, but there's so much to see and do in Bentonville starting with the Walmart Museum (history of the store - the art comes tomorrow). The Peel Museum and Botanical Gardens is up next, a fabulous 1875 house museum with beautifully landscaped grounds. In the evening Simple Pleasures in nearby Bella Vista is our destination. Dubbed "Norman Rockwell's World," this is a meal and touring destination featuring an eclectic collection of Americana including a particularly nice display of vintage automobiles. It's hard to describe, but lots of fun! (FB, D)

Day 6

The Museum of Native American History starts the day, founded by a small band of Cherokees who live in "them thar hills." Lunch is served at Crystal Bridges, the world-class art museum built for the growing collection of Alice Walton (daughter of Sam). You simply won't believe this place. The collection is stunning, and the building even more so - an architectural jewel nestled in the Ozarks. The entire afternoon will be spent enjoying the collection in its lovely setting both inside and out. (FB, L)

Day 7

Depart the west bound for Claremore, Oklahoma, home of Will Rogers, where you will visit the museum dedicated to his memory. Then on to Tulsa and our afternoon flight home. (FB, L)
