Trip Itinerary

Day 1

Arrive in Philadelphia at the climax of its annual Welcome America! celebration. Following hosted cocktails, a nightly pleasure at your hotel, enjoy a Welcome Dinner and a good night’s rest in your comfortable two-room suite. Embassy Suites Hotel – 4 nights (D)
Day 2

Start this and every morning in Philadelphia with a hot, cooked-to-order breakfast. Two of the city’s most popular attractions are located near your hotel. You may choose to visit the Franklin Institute (think miniature version of the Smithsonian) or witness the spectacular objects d’art on display at the Philadelphia Museum of Art. In the evening, head to Independence Mall and enjoy a pre-July 4th concert by the Philadelphia Pops Orchestra under the direction of Peter Nero. (B,D)
Day 3

Happy Fourth of July! Eat a big breakfast for you’ll need all your energy to take in a full day of exciting activities including the Independence Day Parade (seating
provided), the annual ringing of the Liberty Bell, an evening concert (featured act TBA) and fireworks. (B)
Day 4

Visit Independence Hall and the new Liberty Bell Center in the morning, followed by free time to explore the many significant sites surrounding the Mall. Next, tour the city in high style by double-decker bus. This evening, your “Farewell to Philly” dinner serves up the city’s finest. (B,D)
Day 5

New Jersey is just across the river. Your first stop is Princeton, home of the famed university. Tour the campus, then return to Pennsylvania bound for Peddler’s Village, a festival marketplace in scenic Bucks County. A drive through the Holland Tunnel takes you to Manhattan and your luxurious accommodations on Times Square. Is Broadway calling your name for a night of theatre? How about dinner with a view? Day 6

Feast your eyes upon the Big Apple from the Top of the Rock, followed by a mini-city tour spotlighting sites from midtown to downtown. Lunch is served in historic Fraunces Tavern, George Washington’s favorite restaurant. Your early evening flight departs from LaGuardia International Airport. (L)
