Trip Itinerary

Days 1-2

Depart California bound for Leonardo da Vinci Airport located just outside Rome where you’ll be greeted by your Italian tour guide. Hotel check-in and an afternoon of rest awaits your arrival in “The Eternal City.” Hotel Nord Nuova Roma – 3 nights (D)
Day 3

Embark on a guided tour of Rome featuring all her landmarks from ancient to modern. You’ll see the Roman Forum, Circus Maximus, Colosseum and Piazza Venezia. Toss a coin into the Trevi Fountain and assure your next visit to Rome. The afternoon is free for shopping, personal exploration and enjoying some of Italy’s culinary delights. (B,D)
Day 4

Visit the country-within-a-country when you cross the border to Vatican City, the seat of the Roman Catholic Church. Tour the Vatican’s vast collection of art and antiquities, followed by the breathtaking beauty of the Sistine Chapel, Michelangelo’s masterpiece of masterpieces. A walk through St. Peter’s Basilica is sure to humble and inspire. (B)
Day 5

Day 6

Known as the “Birthplace of the Renaissance,” a walking tour through the city center of Florence will bring this moniker to life. You’ll visit the Ponte Vecchio, Piazza della Signoria and the breathtaking Duomo. Further explore this culturally rich city with a guided tour of Italy’s most famous art museum, the Uffizi Gallery, showcasing some of the finest works of art in the world. (B,D)
Day 7

Travel to Venice this morning. The city was built on 118 separate islands bound together with a seemingly endless number of bridges and canals. This is truly an area like no other. Discover her highlights on a tour featuring Piazza San Marco and St. Mark’s Basilica, then pay a visit to Doge’s Palace, the official residence of the rulers of Venice in the Middle Ages. Day 8
