• Day 1

  Depart Sacramento for Kalispell, Montana.
  A short thirty minute drive north brings
  you to the resort town of Whitefish and your
  accommodations. Experience true Montana
  hospitality, surrounded by the rustic luxury of
  an upscale western lodge.

  Day 2

  A gondola ride to the top of Big Mountain at Whitefish Mountain Resort gives you a new perspective on the region known as “Big Sky Country.” The summit offers fabulous views of the Flathead Valley and the peaks of Glacier National Park (pictured). Enjoy lunch in the Summit House followed by a visit to the nature center which features the region’s flora, fauna, geology, fire ecology, and history. Floral window boxes, hand-carved wooden signs, covered sidewalks, painted murals, and old-time building facades set the tone for a lovely afternoon back in town.

  Day 3

  You’d be hard pressed to find a more scenic drive in the lower 48 states than Going-to-the-Sun Road in Glacier National Park. A wilderness of lakes, towering peaks,and remnants of glaciers abound. Travel to the hand-hewn, grand Lake McDonald Lodge to board a Red Jammer Bus for the 52 mile journey (right). Cross the border into Canada (a passport is required)to Waterton Lakes National Park in southern Alberta. Your accommodations tonight are in the stately hotel named after Prince Edward,which was built in 1927 to resemble a French or Swiss chalet crowned with a 30-foot bell tower.

  Day 4

  Step aboard a classic vessel and cruise into the history of Waterton-Glacier International Peace Park. The boat features indoor and outdoor seating to maximize your enjoyment of the most spectacular scenery the Rocky Mountains have to offer. View majestic towering cliffs, unique geological formations, beautiful waterfalls, snow-clad mountain peaks and the international border. Return to the U.S. and your accommodations situated on the shores of Swiftcurrent Lake in the heart of Glacier National Park. This evening enjoy a special musical performance by Montana singer-songwriter David Walburn. With his guitar, harmonica and original songs, David will tell stories about the early explorers of Lewis and Clark’s Corps of Discovery, local Native Americans, and the frontiersmen of Montana.

  Day 5

  Glide across beautiful alpine lakes nestled among the peaks within the International Peace Park. Discover a spectacular side of these national parks not visible from the road. The captain will share with you his knowledge and love for this incredibly special place. See and feel the grandeur that makes Glacier National Park “The Crown of the Continent.” Board Chief Two Guns for a cruise on Swiftcurrent Lake,then take a short walk over the hill to Lake Josephine. Here the Morning Eagle awaits your arrival for a cruise on this pristine lake. For those that like to walk there is a guided national park ranger hike to Grinnell Lake. Tonight get together with your fellow traveling companions for a final meal together and toast your adventure to Montana.

  lunch before arriving at the airport for your
  flight home to Sacramento.
