Trip Itinerary

Day 1

Travel to Oakland on SuperCoach III where you’ll board your own private vintage rail car, the Silver Lariat, hitched to the rear of Amtrak’s Coast Starlight. Enjoy scenic views, three gourmet meals, a hosted bar, and unequaled attention and service as we roll through the Salinas Valley to Santa Barbara, then along the coast to Los Angeles. Day 2

Breakfast at the hotel is followed by an afternoon on the water in Long Beach. Begin with an authentic gondola cruise through the canals of the exclusive neighborhood of Naples. A hearty holiday Champagne Brunch is served aboard the venerable ocean liner Queen Mary, followed by a guided tour of her beautiful public and private spaces, plus a chance to explore on your own. Day 3

Unlock many of the hidden treasures Los Angeles has to offer with our local guide extraordinaire John Daugherty, including a tour of Union Station, a ride aboard the new subway line to the famed corner of Hollywood and Vine, lunch fit for a star and a Hollywood tour.
