Our four-day Catalina itinerary provides several group adventures with lots of time to explore on your own. Your trip begins with Sunday brunch aboard the Queen Mary before continuing to the Island itself for the relaxing getaway you know you need!

Trip Itinerary

Day 1

A home pickup begins your delightful escape to Catalina Island along with a short flight to Southern California. Enjoy an historic behind-the-scenes tour and a spectacular Sunday Brunch aboard the Queen Mary, moored in Long Beach. Following brunch and the tour, travel by the Catalina Express ferry to Catalina Island and check into the recently renovated Pavilion Hotel, your home for the next three nights, right in the heart of Avalon. Enjoy a wine reception each night and a continental breakfast each morning. Pavilion Hotel – 3 nights (BR)
Days 2 and 3

Our itinerary includes several adventures on the island as well as plenty of free time to enjoy activities on your own. Included in the tour is a new behind the scenes tour of Catalina’s famous Ballroom and Casino. See the famous Art Deco murals along with the green room and dressing rooms used by such famous performers as Benny Goodman, Errol Flynn and Cary Grant. Get a look at the underwater world surrounding the island by semi-submersible. Additionally, view Avalon and its beautiful harbor from high above on the Skyline Drive Tour. For your final night dinner, meet your fellow travelers at the new Avalon Grill on the water and just steps from your hotel. (2CB,D)
Day 4

Following a mid-morning return to the mainland enjoy a lovely lunch at the Tam O’Shanter Inn, the restaurant that started the Lawry’s Seasoned Salt and Prime Rib empire. A late-afternoon flight returns you to Sacramento in the early evening. (CB,L)
