    Day 2

A nice hot breakfast prepares you for a day of touring along the Central Coast. First up, explore the Grand Rooms of Hearst Castle. First called Sam’s Hill, this home is definitely an enchanted castle in December. In the afternoon, browse the little shops in Cambria or perhaps you’d rather visit the Elephant Seal Rookery in San Simeon? December is the month the females arrive to give birth to their 70 pound pups! Upon our return to the Apple Farm we will enjoy a light wine reception. Tonight, downtown San Luis Obispo comes alive with its weekly Farmer’s Market, voted one of the best in the entire state. A short trolley ride takes you to all the festivities; produce, arts and crafts, music and, of course, local foods for dinner. (FB,L)

  • Day 3

Begin your last day with another hot and hearty breakfast. On our return to Sacramento, we make a brief stop in Salinas for lunch at the Steinbeck House. This quintessential American author truly has the story of local boy “done good.” While his writings were very controversial at the time they were written, at least according to many from his hometown, today Salinas is proud of their Nobel Prize-winning author. It just isn’t right to go to the Central Coast from Sacramento without stopping at Casa de Fruta… a familiar and folksy market, home to the “flippin’ cup.” Arrive in Sacramento in the early evening. A Day Out in San Francisco

Enjoy a ride to The City for a day of shopping, lunch or just looking around! The coach will drop you at Pier 39/ Fishermens Wharf and Union Square.

A Magical Luncheon

First presented as a mystery daytrip last summer with three departures, this “Magical Luncheon” received rave reviews! Host Gerry Griffin welcomes you to his house of fun and illusion for the afternoon. A very tasty pre-set menu is served with tableside magic and humor. Then sit back and enjoy the show that is filled with laughter and illusion. You will come away mystified.
